The Rage In The Studio Photo Gallery. 1978.

These 14 pictures were taken in early 1978 by Bill Inglot as he was producing Jagged Time Lapse (a John's Children cover) and Signals (a Sue Greenberg/Don Williams original) at a four-track studio in Simi Valley, CA. There for the one-evening session was Gary Stewart, along with Don Williams (lead vocals), Sue Greenberg (guitar, vocals), Paula Pierce (bass, vocals) and Robin Cullen (drums). Sue was recording using next door neighbor Bill Wilner's Gibson SG. Don was holding Paula's bass to give him somewhere to put his hands while recording his vocals (he usually held the mic in his hands). The recordings were actually made after The Rage had broken up. Reformed as The Stripes for this session, the songs were recorded for a local band compilation that never saw the light of day. This was the first time at work in a recording studio for everyone, including producer Bill Inglot.
It was the last time in the studio for Robin and Sue. Don moved to the other side of the glass to produce four songs on All Your Dreams...and more. Paula did plenty of recording later with The Direct Hits/Action Now and The Pandoras. Bill Inglot later produced the bulk of the studio material on All Your Dreams...and more. Bill later produced The Pandoras, The Unclaimed and other bands.
